Hastings Boys' High School is situated in Hastings, Hawke's Bay on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.  Hastings was established in 1873 and quickly grew to become the most important town in the district.  Today Hastings' industries encompass the entire range of orchard and horticultural produce grown in the district.  Hastings has a wide range of amenities providing interest and entertainment.  A particular feature  are the beautiful parks and is known for the many trees growing in the city.
