Hastings Boys' High School upholds the finest traditions of education and is seen as an innovative leader in quality boys' education.

School Charter and Strategic Plan 2018 - 2020

 

School Wide Goals - 2018

 

1.  To maintain or improve on 2017 NCEA Levels of achievement at Levels 1, 2 and 3 and       University Entrance.
2.  Develop the Akina Man through character education, impacting positively on student well-being.
3.  Improve Junior achievement in numeracy and literacy with a focus on writing.
4.  Māori and Pacific Island achievement is the same as the school wide goals for student achievement. With particular focus on Māori University Entrance.
5.  To increase merit and excellence endorsements to the national mean and achieve scholarship success.
6.  Further imbed the integration of digital technology into teaching and learning.
