2018 Head Boy

Joey Field, Head Boy 2018

The brotherhood at Hastings' Boys High School is a bond like no other. We support, respect and act as role models for each other.

It is truly an honour to be the Head Prefect at Hastings' Boys High School for 2018. I want to encourage each young man to make the most of every opportunity to grow as a person and strive to exceed their potential.

Each student is united by the special brotherhood we share, creating an environment that everyone feels welcome in.  Our different backgrounds all come together to form unique and lifelong friendships.

"Coming together is a beginning
Keeping together is progress
Thinking together is unity
Working together is success".

As Akina students, these principles align with our school motto "Young men united by respect".

The culture of our school helps to develop perseverance, empowerment, commitment and respect within each individual. Hastings Boys' High School has taught me that in order to gain respect, you must show it first.

I challenge you to live these values to ensure another successful year at Hastings Boys' High School.
