Hastings Boys’ Sports Director

Hastings Boys’ High School Sports Director is Mr. Te Ahu Teki.  Mr. Teki previously held a similar position at St. Patricks Silverstream in Wellington.  At St. Patricks Mr Teki coached the 1st XV Rugby team to much success.  He also built up the athletics programme to a point where St Pats had the biggest contingent of athletes at the National Secondary Schools Championships this year held in Hastings winning many medals in the process.  Mr Teki has been appointed Hastings Boys’ HS 1st XV backs coach.  He is also the Year 9 Rugby Academy Head Coach.  Mr Teki is now in the process of starting a full year athletics training programme in which talented sportsmen from all Sports Codes are identified and offered an athletics training plan to suit their individual requirements.

Hastings Boys’ Sports Coordinator

Hastings Boys' Sports Coordinator is Mr. Dean Hulls.  Mr. Hulls is Hockey Academy Head and 1st XI Hockey Team Coach.  He is HNZ Level 2 qualified, has coached all levels of Hawke's Bay representative teams in recent years and is one of the highest qualified hockey coaches in the Central Districts Region.  He has coached Central Districts National Hockey League Senior and Under 21 teams over the last 4 years in NZ's premier domestic national tournament.
