1st XI Cricket Review 2010

The 2009/2010 season has been a mostly successful one for the 1st XI cricket side. The cricket 1st XI are the 2009/2010 outright Senior School 1st XI Champions.  The team won the English one day competition, and made the final of the 20/20 and 45 over tournaments.

The start of 2010 saw a number of changes to the side after losing 6 year 13 players at the end of 2009.  Players such as Cameron Gichard, Luke Bradley, Jayden Wiggins, Ryan Jones and Reuben Henry all became senior players and at times were able to step up playing a senior role within the side.  More consistency however is required by these players when the 2010/2011 season begins in late October.

It is extremely positive that the team is dominated by year 12 students meaning that we will only lose one player (Ryan Jones) during the season which should see the side develop and continue to perform well.
