The Hastings Boys’ High School Motocross team competed recently in the Western Heights MX Championships.  The level of competition was really high with schools attending from all over New Zealand.

Individual Results:

Zach Lawrence:              
Race 1—8th, Race 2—8th, Race 3—19th .. 10th Overall

Tom Oughton:                 
Race 1—15th, Race 2—9th, Race 3—5th .. 9th Overall

Jack Jensen:                    
Race 1—4th, Race 2—6th, Race 3—5th .. 6th Overall

Alex Francis:                     
Race 1—22nd, Race 2—13th, Race 3—12th .. 16th Overall

Another memorable point for HBHS Motocross this year was Zach Lawrence's performance at the 2010 NZ Motocross Grand Prix at Woodville.  In the 150cc race Zach finished 2nd overall just 2 points behind winning the race.  Zach then went on to finish in 3rd place in the Champion of Champions race in the 85cc / 150cc catagory.
