2nd XV v St Pats Silverstream

Game Report v St Patricks Silverstream 1st XV - 11th May 2011

The 2nd XV came up against a very strong St Pats Silverstream team who are renowned for being very stiff opposition in the Wellington division.  Industrious work by the Hastings Boys’ pack, led ably by Reuben Henry, enabled a solid platform for the exciting backs to launch attacks. Dynamic runs from the likes of Harlan Solomon and Danya Tulou meant that it was always going to be a hard day in the office for the St Pats forwards. Scrappy work by Taylar Greville at half-back meant that any ball given to the opposition was quickly ruined. Well worked tries came to Hastings in the form of a push over and a well finished back move by left wing Raglan Barber.

A combative encounter saw Hastings come out on top eventually winning 13-0.  An excellent all round performance was a great tribute to the tireless work put in by coaches Mr. Onekawa and Mr. Small and the Manager Mr. Froggett.  Some aspects still need improvement in training but a great deal of positives can be taken from what was a very good performance.
