Overseas Sports Trips

At Hastings Boys' High School we recognise the importance of overseas trips for students.  Boys are offered the chance to compete at the highest level against overseas teams to expose them to a varied and higher level of competition than can be found locally.

Rationale

The rationale behind overseas school sportngs tours are to expand the learning, cultural and social experiences of students and staff at Hastings Boys' High School.

Reasons for School Sporting Tours

  • To place Hastings Boys' High School and the sports programme with the elite schools of New Zealand in terms of sport.
  • To build and maintain a strong, sustainable sports programme at Hastings Boys' High School.
  • To increase possible enrolments by making the community aware of the schools commitment to education outside the classroom in terms of national and overseas travel.
  • To foster international relationships with other school communities.
  • To build and maintain a winning culture within the school's sporting programme.
