Football Academy

In February 2007 Hastings Boys’ launched its Football Academy, which we believe is the first of its kind in New Zealand. Building on the success of the previous five years, culminating in our 10th placing in New Zealand in 2006, we have devised the next five year plan to be the top football school in New Zealand. The Academy is staffed by the most experienced and qualified coaches currently available in New Zealand and the students are supported in their academic pursuits by the teacher coaches at the school.

Members of the Academy have a pathway through the school and their
academic work is constantly monitored to ensure that they are achieving the correct balance between their sporting interest and school work. Forty eight Junior Academy members won Academic prizes at the junior prize giving in 2009.
