Part Time Employment

Pita Pit in Hastings are looking for a year 12 student to work between 8 - 15 hours in their Hastings store. Hours will be worked over 2 - 4 shifts covering both after school and weekend.

Full time Employment

Apprenticeship available at Higgins East Coast (Concrete Structures), Omahu Road, Hastings. Successful applicants would learn all aspects of concrete production as well as the technical side - spending time in the Lab. Looking for someone who would eventually take on a supervisor / management role. 

Would prefer a full licence but negotiable. During your apprenticeship you will gain licences for: front end loader, forklift, class 4 truck.

Geary Painting - a locally owned, family business are looking for an apprentice to join their team of 12. You will be fully trained and supervised - restricted licence preferred but not essential. Possibility of pick up and drop off each day.

To give you a better understanding of what they do, they are keen for interested students to work for them over the school holidays. This is paid work and an opportunity to see if it is a good fit for you. 

Progressive Meats - Karl from Progressive Meats will be presenting at the  HBHS Yr 12/13 assembly on Thursday 30th June at 10.40 am. He will be unveiling their new apprenticeship scheme which begins at the end of the year. There are also opportunities for weekend and school holiday work if you want to earn some decent money!
