Toi Whakairo Year 13 (Level 3)

Course Description: 
Toi Māori - Whakairo Wheua, Pounamu, Kōhatu, Kirihou, Rino.
This akomanga will be working alongside the Te Reo Māori , or it may be split into semester courses over 2 lines. To apply Maori art conventions, designs and practices thus developing Whakairo through traditional and modern means. On-going research, interpretation of meaning and the impact of technology on practice and production will be conducted simultaneously.

Entry Requirements: (entry into courses are subject to head of department approval)
It is recommended that people undertaking this standard have already achieved the standards at Level 2 from the domain Te Ara Tauira, and consider working towards standards at Level 2 or above from the subfield Reo Māori.  If you did not take the course at Level 2, or achieved fewer than 14 credits in that course, you will need HOD approval.
